Alma L. Strong, 86, a resident of Wendell, passed away on Sunday, June 26, 2016 at her home in Wendell.
Alma was born on October 27, 1929 in Hagerman, Idaho, the third daughter of Emmett and Olive Bartlett. She was raised and educated in Wendell. She lived 85 of her 87 years in the Wendell area.
Alma married Albert Strong on November 13, 1948 in Elko, Nevada. Bert and Alma were married 47 years and lived on the family farm outside Wendell. Alma worked at St. Benedict’s Hospital in Jerome for 30 years. She loved her work and really enjoyed her grandkids, Kris Miller and Kallie Forsberg. Bert passed away on August 21, 1995.
She is survived by: two daughters, Cheryl M. Strong of Tucson, Arizona and Diana K. Strong Maas of Twin Falls; her three brothers, Stanley, Emmett and John; her sister, Alice Talbert; her grandchildren, Kris Miller, Kallie Forsberg and Brent Strong; and great grandchildren, Chase and Hannah Miller, Dylan, Drew and Daniel Forsberg.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bert Strong; her son, Roger Strong Lee; two brothers, Edwin and Steve; and two sisters, Ann and Effie.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, July 9, 2016 at 11:00 am at the Wendell Cemetery in Wendell.
