Frank John Pamplona, age 54, of Gooding, Idaho, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Friday, July 1, 2016 surrounded by family.
Frank was born in San Jose, California on July 9, 1961. He graduated from Merced High School and married Kim Higginbotham soon after. The birth of their first son, Dustin was on September 8, 1985, and their second son, Josh was born on December 10, 1987.
Frank worked in construction, building and development, repaired Section 8 homes, and enjoyed his time with his family. In 2003 the family moved to Gooding, Idaho, where he drove truck and operated heavy equipment for a few local companies. In the beginning of 2016, he started working for the River Christian Fellowship in Twin Falls doing God’s work.
He enjoyed Karaoke–which, by the way, he was pretty good at–watching NASCAR racing and the Raiders, riding his Harley Davidson, watching TV, camping, and spending time with his friends and family.
Frank is survived by: his two sons, Dustin and Josh Pamplona, and their wives, Crystal and Nekane; his four grandchildren, Clayton 9, Caleb 6, Casey 5, and Lydia 3; his two sisters, Olivia Prader and Inez LePenske; his two brothers, Ernie and John Pamplona; his mother, Maria, and stepdad, Al Saude; eight nieces and nephews, seven great nieces and nephews, plus so many more amazing friends and family.
Frank is preceded in death by his father, John Vaz Pamplona; his sister, Edolina; and his brother, Paul.
The visitation will be held Thursday, July 7, from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at Demaray’s Funeral Home, 737 Main St. In Gooding.
The funeral service will be held Friday, July 8, 2016 at 11:00 AM at Demaray’s Funeral Home in Gooding, with Pastor Mike Kestler of the River Christian Fellowship of Twin Falls officiating. The burial will follow thereafter at Wendell Cemetery. A reception will be held at First Christian Church at 334 4th Ave W Gooding following the burial.
