First is the April Newsletter, which announces Dr. Taylor’s Lecture on his book about Archie Teater held on April 19th at the Hagerman Senior Center, starting at 7p. Refreshments at 6:30p. Books will be available for sale, $75.
Then, it is coming time for the annual Board of Directors elections, with a Membership Business Meeting scheduled for May 17th at the Senior Center at 7p, refreshments at 6:30p.
Here is an outline of the HVHS Business Structure, and a list of Suggested Committees. Please review these outlines and consider volunteering for one or more activities. It is not expected nor desired that a few volunteers do all the heavy lifting. If each of the members took on one small task, the results would be amazing!
The Membership nominates the Directors, Corporate Officers and Committee chairs, and then elects the Board of Directors. The Board then elects the Officers and Chairs. No Director may be an Officer, but both Directors and Officers can be Chairs, and the Committees ideally have additional volunteer help other than the Chairs.
Please consider joining the Society attending the May 17th Business meeting. We eagerly anticipate your participation.
Thank you, The Hagerman Valley Historical Society
